I’m sure you’re familiar with the saying that a person buys a drill, not for the sake of buying a drill, but because he wants to make a hole. If you want to sell drills, you should talk to about how to make a hole - NOT about the drill.

When it comes to network marketing people are not looking to join MLM. People have needs and they’re looking for an opportunity to meet that need. They looking to make more money and have family time, etc…

They have a need and they want to find an answer to that need. Things like more money family time, etc… If you talk to people about meeting their need, then your opportunity will fall right into place.

The problem is most marketers really don’t know how to sell. Also most people don’t like salespersons. They view us as trying to make money off them.

But there is a solution to all of that. Think MLM the same way as the lawnmower. When you came into network marketing, it probably wasn’t because you loved the opportunity.

You were looking for financial freedom and time freedom. You see people aren’t out searching for an MLM opportunity. But they are seeking an answer to their need. They may not like being sold, but they love to buy.

So here’s a better way: let your prospects convince themselves to use your opportunity to meet their need. If you give them useful information about meeting their need, they will become interested in your opportunity on their own.

When you show people that you’re interested in them and what they’re trying to accomplish, they will hunt for you when they are ready to buy. The most successful professionals never use sales pitches. But if you notice, your up-line always has prospects wanting to join their team.

So stop advertising your opportunity, and start advertising your expertise and your knowledge. Always present yourself as someone who can show your prospect exactly how to get what he really wants. That’s the only reason a prospect will join your business and buy your product.

You must present yourself as someone who can show your prospect how to get financial freedom and time freedom. Then prospects will join your business and buy your product.

You will become the hunted instead of the hunter and one of the biggest advantages in doing so is that you don’t have to waste any more of your money buying low quality leads like everyone else.
